Bureau Veritas Participated in the Initiation and Joined the Yangtze River Delta New Infrastructure and Urban Fine Management Industry Alliance as the First Batch of Units

On October 21, Yangtze River Delta New Infrastructure and Urban Fine Management Industry Alliance was officially established. Shi Qian, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee (to preside over the work) and Vice President of the School of Economics and Management of Tongji University, Chen Shaoxiong, Executive Chairman and Secretary General of Shanghai Biomedical Industry Association, Dai Wenkai, Senior Vice President of Bureau Veritas and General Manager of Construction and Infrastructure Division in Greater China Area, Yang Hu, Director of Construction Engineering and Facilities Department of Bureau Veritas in Greater China Area, Lu Jianglong, Deputy General Manager of Zhongheng Design Group and President of Jingzhu Technology Design and Research Institute, Zhang Fan, General Manager of IDI Business Department of China Continent Insurance, Chen Lei, Director of Overseas Investment Promotion Center of Taizhou Pharmaceutical Hi-Tech Industrial Park, Zhu Jun, Secretary of the Party Committee and Director of Jiashan County Construction Bureau, and Huang Bin, Secretary of the Party Committee of Luoxing Street and Director of the Management Committee of Guigu Park, attended the opening ceremony.    

Yangtze River Delta New Infrastructure and Urban Fine Management Industry Alliance was jointly initiated by Bureau Veritas, China Guigu Jiashan Science and Technology Park, School of Economics and Management of Tongji University, and Shanghai Biomedical Industry Association. It is also a joint effort contributed by relevant industrial entities, colleges and universities, international consulting agencies and domestic excellent enterprises involved in new infrastructure construction. In response to the national Yangtze River Delta integration strategic development, it is committed to putting forward new infrastructure and improving urban fine management, better integrating resources, promoting development and upgrading of industries, and thus contributing to social development and progress.

Professor Shi Qian, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee (preside over the work) and Vice President of the School of Economics and Management of Tongji University, delivered a speech on the alliance establishment event. "The establishment of the alliance is of great significance for the development of new infrastructure, which is in line with the current development model of "Industry-University-Research" collaboration. It combines resources and efforts from all parties, gives full play to the strength of colleges and universities to jointly promote the development of industry and social progress."

Mr. Wenkai Dai, General Manager of Greater China of the Building & Infrastructure Business Group, said that: The establishment of the alliance signifies that all parties have reached a strategic consensus, which is conducive to promoting the integration of business resources in new infrastructure and urban development, refining management industry, broadening communication and exchange of various links in the industrial chain, enhancing professional and technical capacities of the industry, and promoting the development of Yangtze River Delta integration industry through strategic reciprocal collaboration. "

Mr. Chen Shaoxiong, Executive Chairman and Secretary General of Shanghai Biomedical Industry Association, addressed the audience and delivered a report on the Development Trend of Biomedical Industry Amid Current Epidemic. He said, "Under current epidemic circumstances, the biomedical industry is faced with opportunities and challenges alike. Amid the consolidated resources of China's biomedical industry in the Yangtze River Delta, we will better build technical facilities through the new infrastructure, and promote the development of pharmaceutical industry based on technology integration. We hope that the establishment of the New Infrastructure Alliance will continue to inject vitality into the industry."

The Alliance Committee, senior advisers, rotating chairman, rotating vice president, secretary general, deputy secretary general and members of the secretariat were recommended and elected on the conference. Next, the Industry Alliance will actively build a platform and allocate resources to enhance steady development of various industries in the field of new infrastructure.
