On January 11, the launching ceremony of the iron ore EPD (environmental product declaration) and the centralized release ceremony of the iron and steel EPD sponsored by the China Iron and Steel Industry Association was held in Shanghai. At the meeting, 20 EPD reports of steel enterprises including Shougang, Shagang, Baotou Steel, Jiuquan Steel and other steel enterprises were released, showing that Chinese steel enterprises are actively taking action to promote the transformation and development of green and low carbon in the face of the goal of "double carbon", and the Chinese steel industry is striving to become the explorer and pioneer of the world's green and low carbon steel development and intelligent manufacturing.

At this release ceremony, in order to commend the advanced and set a model, after the recommendation and selection of the EPD platform in the steel industry, the list of 12 "outstanding experts of the EPD platform in the steel industry in 2022" was finally released, and Ms. Huang Min, the sustainable development product manager of Bureau Veritas China, was awarded.

In addition, in order to help applicants for the EPD platform in the steel industry and members of relevant ecosystems more comprehensively and intuitively understand the background, role and significance of the environmental product statement, and guide relevant parties to conduct complete, accurate and timely LCA analysis and third-party verification of steel products, Ms. Huang Min was also invited to participate in the first special training of the EPD platform in the steel industry held that afternoon as a lecturer, to promote the green, low-carbon High quality development.

This iron ore EPD has achieved the world's first launch, representing the steel industry EPD platform to a new level, and is an important milestone in the development process of the platform.
