Bureau Veritas Actively Participates in Yunnan-France Industrial Cooperation for Sustainable Development

On July 19, Yunnan Provincial Investment Promotion Bureau and French Consulate General in Chengdu held a Yunnan-France industrial cooperation meeting for sustainable development in Kunming. Yang Hu, General Manager of Building and Facility, Greater China, Bureau Veritas, was invited to attend relevant activities.

At the meeting, relevant provincial departments, Kunming City, and relevant state and municipal departments exchanged and discussed with French enterprises on sustainable urban infrastructure, environmental protection, tourism space governance and other fields. Bureau Veritas, as the enterprise representative of France China Eco City Club, made a relevant introduction to the participants.

Yang Hu said that Bureau Veritas is a French enterprise with a long history of 194 years and a global company. At present, it has about 1,600 offices and laboratories in 140 countries around the world. For a long time, Bureau Veritas has been committed to deepening the Chinese market and striving to achieve excellence in all fields. The group has established strategic cooperative relations with many local and international enterprises, which can more effectively and efficiently meet the needs of customers, and has achieved a dominant position in the construction service market. Bureau Veritas is deeply concerned about the sustainable development needs of enterprises and the whole society, actively participates in the standard formulation of "Zero Carbon Industrial Park", develops carbon consulting and other services, and actively explores and promotes green, low-carbon and high-quality development. Bureau Veritas expects to actively participate in the economic and social development of Yunnan in the development of localization and help build a green and beautiful Yunnan.

On the same day, the consul general led a delegation consisting of 14 member enterprises of the French Chinese Eco City Club, which was guided by the French Embassy in China. The representatives of these 14 enterprises came from Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Chengdu, Wuhan and Kunming. Their companies carry out business in key cooperation fields between France and Yunnan, such as clean and smart cities, urban transportation, renewable energy, green industry and so on.

On the occasion of the inspection, the consul general met with Mr. Wang Hao, a member of the leading Party group of the Yunnan provincial government who was about to become Vice Governor. A number of French enterprises, provincial government leaders and Mr. An Enfa, Deputy Mayor of Kunming, attended the meeting as nonvoting delegates.
