Bureau Veritas purchases are the operating purchases, the purchases related to testing laboratories and to the subcontractors.
The objective of Purchasing Department is to support Bureau Veritas strategies on both financial and non-financial ambitions. Our mission is to implement cost effective and innovative solutions with sustainable suppliers. The role of the suppliers is key to support our ambitions to Shaping Better Business Practices.
A Responsible Purchasing
Bureau Veritas Responsible Purchasing goes beyond the local regulations and industry norms. Bureau Veritas wants its suppliers to be transparent, commit to continuous improvement and contribute to create the sustainable value for the Group. These principles apply to the supply chain and are an integral part of the general purchasing terms and conditions and set in the Business Partner Code of Conduct (BPCC).
Supplier Relationship Management Program
Bureau Veritas is constantly seeking for companies able to support the Group ambitions. Bureau Veritas has designed a dedicated program for strategic suppliers in order to create an environment of trust, to promote innovation while developing a responsible purchasing. Therefore, Bureau Veritas requires its suppliers to:
- Sign the Declaration of Compliance of the Business Partner Code of Conduct
- Comply with Bureau Veritas Terms and Conditions of purchase
- And for strategic suppliers, at country level, conduct and send a self-assessment questionnaire
