Bureau Veritas participated in the 2022 green hydrogen industry conference and jointly released the blue book of China's electrolysis  with TrendBank

On August 30, Mr. Arthur Liu, director of Bureau Veritas hydrogen energy business, was invited to attend the 2022 green hydrogen industry conference held by TrendBank and delivered a speech about ‘green hydrogen equipment export and certification solutions’. At the meeting, ‘the blue book of China's electrolysis  hydrogen production industry’ was jointly released with the hydrogen production head enterprises such as TrendBank and CSSC Peric hydrogen energy.

Mr. Arthur Liu said that the certification standards of green hydrogen are quite different in all over the world, and the export of green hydrogen by Chinese enterprises must comply with different local regulations. For example, ‘the GH2 green hydrogen standard’ issued by Switzerland in May 2022 is relatively strict, and the proportion of hydrogen produced from renewable energy can not be less than 95%; The EU green hydrogen standard is more enforceable according to renewable energy directive (red) II. It can meet the EU green hydrogen certification standard by off-grid renewable power, the proportion of renewable power in the grid and the green power purchase agreement. In China's green hydrogen certification, ‘the standard and evaluation of low hydrocarbon, clean hydrogen and renewable hydrogen’ proposed by National Alliance of Hydrogen and Fuel Cell (CHA) has been officially released and implemented. This standard combines the development characteristics of hydrogen energy in China and establishes the quantitative standards and evaluation system of low hydrocarbon, clean hydrogen and renewable hydrogen by using the life cycle assessment method.
