Leaders from China and France jointly witnessed the signing of a strategic cooperation agreement between BV and the China Chamber of Electrical and Mechanical Commerce

At this meeting, 36 enterprises from China and France signed 18 cooperation agreements in areas such as manufacturing, green, new energy, and innovation.

China and France adhere to true multilateralism, adhere to the correct direction of free trade and economic globalization, and greatly enhance the resilience and vitality of bilateral economic and trade cooperation. Bilateral trade volume and mutual direct investment have steadily increased, cooperation in major projects has been deepened, and cooperation in emerging fields such as green consumption, green energy, and technological innovation has been continuously expanding.

After the closing ceremony, witnessed by the ministers of both countries, Bureau Veritas signed a strategic cooperation agreement with the China Chamber of Commerce for Import and Export of Machinery and Electronic Products (hereinafter referred to as "CCCMB").

In the context of global carbon neutrality, China and France actively implement the commitment of carbon neutrality. This time, CCCMB will work with Bureau Veritas to jointly establish a "public service platform for carbon footprint of photovoltaic products". The platform aims to help Chinese enterprises complete carbon footprint accounting with high quality, efficiency, and low cost; Conduct carbon emission analysis and display of products to help enterprises optimize energy conservation in material selection and process, making products more internationally competitive.

With more than 190 years of international credibility and professional and technical capabilities in the carbon neutrality field, Bureau Veritas will calculate the carbon footprint of its products on the "Public Service Platform for Carbon Footprint of PV Products". Through digital means, Bureau Veritas will connect the accounting results with the audit system of CCCMB. Products that have been strictly audited by Bureau Veritas will eventually be issued with carbon footprint certification. The signing of this strategic agreement will serve as a starting point and an opportunity for China's photovoltaic enterprises to better serve France and even the world, and ultimately contribute to the grand historical goal of accelerating global sustainable development.
