Alibaba released the 2022 ESG report, and Bureau Veritas witnessed its commitment to social responsibility

On August 29, Alibaba Group Holdings Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Alibaba") released the "Alibaba Environment, Society and Governance Report 2022" (hereinafter referred to as "ESG report"), which publicly demonstrated Alibaba's phased goals, actions and progress as the head of domestic Internet technology enterprises, while creating commercial value. This is the first time Alibaba Group has systematically released ESG report, which not only provides a framework for action to solve a series of global challenges, but also is an important cornerstone for Alibaba to move towards the 102nd year.

During fiscal year 2022, Alibaba reduced 619944 tons of carbon through energy structure transformation, and 21.6% of the electricity used by Alibaba cloud came from clean energy; By the end of 2021, the Qiandao Lake water fund jointly established by Alibaba public welfare foundation had taken agricultural water protection and management measures on 5000 mu of farmland to reduce water pollution caused by chemical fertilizers and pesticides.
